Watch as Coach Don Babbitt explains, and an athlete demonstrates this rotational shot put step-in drill. The drill starts with the athlete in the back half of the ring with the left foot inside of the ring and the right foot outside of the ring. The drill consists of three phases, the step-in, the half turn, and the double pivot extension. It is key that on the step-in the foot touches the ground on the ball of the foot and is not flat. Coach will cover all three phases of the drill.
