Most critical is how the athlete begins the approach run, athletes are all different but at Houston they teach a static start. The athlete's foot does not move at the push and they do not walk or hop in. On the push out, the body should be at a 45-degree angle to the ground and the eyes should focus on the track and raise with the body.
