Coaching the Athlete with Alissa Rausch – Univ. of Sioux Falls

August 5, 2024 • By USTFCCCA

Watch as Coach Alissa Rausch talks about the mental side of coaching your athletes. Each athlete is an individual and different and she recommends building a relationship and getting your cues down so everyone is on the same page. It is always important to highlight their strengths and what they do well. Use the sandwich technique when communicating by telling the athletes what they are doing well and what they need to work on or fix. Always end on a positive note as this can keep your athletes motivated and more willing to learn.
