Watch as Coach Nickolas Davis explains and shows practice clips of these high jump approach drills. The first drill is his 'straight' drill with the focus being on the first five steps of the approach. The initiation step starts on the fifth step with the foot turning in and the hips access starting to shift from a linear to a curve. Coach Davis will explain and show clips of circle runs and a full approach.
