100m Transition Phase with Dave Pavlansky – USATF

The transition phase is the latter part of the 100m acceleration phase. As the sprinter accelerates, the ground contact times become less, the body gets more upright, and the shins move up. Coach compares this smooth transition to an airplane taking off from a runway.
