Watch as Coach Mackenzie Chrisman explains, and players demonstrate this blocking drill series that works on one-hand blocking and sealing the net. First, players will focus on reaching over the net and grabbing a tennis ball that is tossed straight up. Next, players alternate hands working on a dive block, always starting in a loaded position to help with muscle memory. Players will finish the series using both hands over the net and catching 2 tennis balls. This drill is great for training hand-eye coordination and helps players learn to react to the ball.
