Watch as Coach Laura Johnson explains, and players demonstrate this drill for middle blockers that trains hand-on-ball contact. Coach wants players to focus on drawing their hands up fast and getting their elbows tight and back. Players start on the court, hitting into the net and then move on to a box which helps them feel the range. Coach looks for a step, drive, go rhythm without jumping and keeping the hips open.
