Watch as Coach Sherita Jackson explains and shows practice video of these everyday sprinter turnover drills. The 1st drill shown is a Double Hop A-Skip in slow motion and normal speed that works on striking distance, landing distance, and stride length. The drill simulates how the athletes should run in the race. The 2nd drill is the Double Hop Cycle B-Skip that works on extending stride length. The next drill uses chairs, 3 feet apart, with the athletes using either the A-Skip or B-Skip working on quickness. The final drill is the Single Step Turnover using chairs. This is a quick turnover using single step vs. a three step between chairs that simulates how the athletes run on the track.
