Watch as Coach JJ Riese explains, and sprinters demonstrate the Fast-Relaxed-Fast 100-Yard Sprint Drill. The drill is 100 yards and broken into 20-yard segments and Coach Riese prefers to run the drill on the field to lessen the wear and tear on the legs and feet. The 1st segment is fast at 85%, 2nd segment is relaxed at 65%, and it alternates throughout the 100 yards. The focus is on the sprinters being able to tell the difference between the two speeds and build kinesthetic awareness.
