Watch as Coach Rob Assise explains and shows practice video of this landing drill for jumpers using exercise balls. This drill evolved as jumpers did not like using chairs and they made the switch to balls. When a jumper's heels hit the sand, the butt should replace the heels. This drill gives the athletes the feel of the hamstrings contracting to get the butt to replace the heels. The drill is good on grass and turf and does not need to be in the sand.
