Watch as Coach explains and shows clips of this glide shot put drill progression. They start with a simple movement, the leg curl, and progress to the full movement of an easy glide, into the power position. There aren't any throws in this progression as the focus is on moving from the back of the circle into the power position. The unseating action of the hips into the middle and the left leg drive are the dominant catalyst to develop velocity during the glide.
This clip comes from a full-length session featured in the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC) Virtual Coaches Clinic that was held from January 25 - 28, 2021.
