The drill is done in multiple ways starting with the athletes lying on the ground with the band in the middle of the athlete’s foot. The focus is driving the knee up, pausing at the top making sure to hit a 90-degree angle. The 2nd part of the drill involves the athletes standing upright focusing on strengthening the hip flexors and keeping the ankles locked. Coach Hayes also covered the active switch drill focusing on driving the foot into the ground and emphasizing power.
