Great Coaches Are Adaptable with Don Showalter – USA Basketball

February 12, 2024 • By National High School Basketball Coaches Association

Watch as Coach Don Showalter explains that being adaptable today is much different than in the past. Being adaptable does not mean lacking discipline, but involves listening to your players. Asking them questions during practice gets them involved and can help them understand the game better. Having the players involved makes them feel it is their team and makes getting your message across easier. Coach also discusses being adaptable in any situation or distraction, being adaptable during games, and making in-game adjustments.
