Paula Gamble discusses how she deals with inappropriate language at live athletic events. She explains the anticipated crowd size will determine the number of school administrators attending an event. If a spectator or parent is using inappropriate language at an event, then it must be addressed. An administrator will go and stand by that person and try to de-escalate the situation. In certain circumstances she will ask parents to meet with her at her office and discuss the issues they have with the coaches or staff.
