Watch as Coach Keith Gavin explains why he likes to run the stance motion drill at the end of practice, especially during the season. After practice the wrestlers are tired, and it is important for the coach to see if they can maintain their position and focus. If the wrestlers are working on their own or if the coach is calling out what to do, there are areas that need to be emphasized. #1: don't break stance and keep re-setting, #2: work on down blocking and re-attacking, and #3: when working shots shoot through your opponents, no knee drops, work on sprawling and getting back up to your stance, practice cutting the mat off on the opponent.
