Watch as Coach Austin DeVoe explains and demonstrates defending a chop from the down position. He goes with the chop while rotating up and as he obtains balance, he covers the opponent's hand. You want to extend the shoulder and come underneath and extend the arm. If the opponent follows you, hard extend the arm as far as possible straight up. Another option is to circle to an underhook.
