Watch as Coach Terri Neujahr discusses a drill they use called Dig-Set. The drill helps simulate different things that could happen in game when you must dig or set. During the drill, they have a goal that they want to reach each time, such as getting eight or nine balls in the box before they rotate. This drill specifically consists of players at base in LB-MB-RB with targets at the LF and RF, while the coach is at the net with balls. Each player has a designated “setter” when they dig the ball. The goal is to dig the high middle 10’ line and to set the ball in the box at a pin. The coach will move along the net to simulate attacks from different areas.
