Long Jump: Run-Run-Jump with Boo Schexnayder – Louisiana State Univ.

June 23, 2021 • By Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches

Watch as Coach explains that 'Run-Run-Jumps' are repeated takeoffs. In this drill the jumper is always landing on the foot opposite the takeoff foot. Coach uses this drill as a teaching progression, a fundamental exercise, and it is used to interject technical features to teach the event. Coach discusses in detail all aspects of this drill.

This clip comes from a full-length session from the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC) Virtual Coaches Clinic that was held from January 25 - 28, 2021.
