Watch as Coach Paige Cassady explains that she wants all the pitches to look like strikes within 15 feet of a hitter before falling off in different directions. The pitcher's Tunneling Warm-Up involves throwing every pitch in a spin progression starting with a baseball, switching to an 11-inch ball, 12-inch, 14-inch, and back to a 12-inch ball. The goal is to throw the ball straight, produce as much spin as possible, and have consistency in the wrist no matter what size ball is being thrown.
Paige Cassady was previously a coach at Texas Tech University.
