Watch as Coach Wes Miller explains, and with players demonstrates contesting shots and boxouts. Their rule on contesting a shot is to hit the ground and come back in to find the ball to help on long rebounds. On a perimeter shot the defender will go full chest to the player they are defending, making sure to contact on the inside. He does not like the traditional boxout as it hinders finding and getting to the ball.
