He explains how hard the custodial staff works, so he went to a local retailer and asked the store to donate a grill for the custodians to show his appreciation. When the administrators help and assist the custodial staff, they feel ownership and pride in the school. He gives an example of a lost ring at a football game in which two custodians went above and beyond digging through a dumpster to find the lost ring.
