Watch as Coach Kaylee Prigge explains this defensive drill with the defense vs. live attackers and a BOSU ball. This is a 20-minute drill with the defenders facing a three-ball sequence twice for a total of six reps. The focus is on the defense hitting their releases well and being productive. A coach will attack live off a setter to area 4, and the defense will pass and set the middle. After 2 reps, a second coach on a box will attach in zone 2, with a manager holding a ball up to cause a deflection, emulating a touch off a block and creating a scramble situation.
