Fouling in the Long Jump with Erik Vance – South Plains College

October 14, 2020 • By USTFCCCA

Watch as Coach Erik Vance explains that the long and triple jump are different in that if the jumper is a little off it is very difficult to recover. Many jumpers are so concerned about fouling that it can hinder the overall performance. He believes that if the athlete is competing hard and attacking the board, they will have fouls and they should not be concerned because it is expected. Correct technique if fouling is an issue but turn your jumpers loose.
