Watch as Coach Randy Simkins discusses pitch analysis and count. Both pitchers and coaches should always know the count. When you are ahead in the count be aggressive and attack but don’t waste pitches. The goal is to get the batter out in 3 pitches. When the pitcher is behind in the count, they need to be competitive and not give in. A go to pitch should be what the pitcher considers her most comfortable pitch but don’t be afraid to change it up.
