When you are ahead in the count be aggressive and attack but don’t waste pitches. The goal is to get the batter out in 3 pitches. When the pitcher is behind in the count, they need to be competitive and not give in. A go to pitch should be what the pitcher considers her most comfortable pitch but don’t be afraid to change it up.
