Finish the D Drill with Wes Miller – Univ. of Cincinnati

April 1, 2025 • By Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan

Watch as Coach Wes Miller explains, and players demonstrate the Finish the D Drill. This is an offensive and defensive drill focusing on angles, contesting, boxouts, and going after the ball. The drill starts in the paint simulating the offensive player having picked up their dribble. The offensive player can use as many fakes and pivots as possible to get an angle to the basket. The defenders want to maintain a defensive stance and stay down and not go for fakes. The defender will contest the shot, boxout, and get after the ball. An option for the drill is to allow the offensive player 1 dribble.
