Post Player Stop Cuts with Shimmy Gray-Miller – Univ. of Minnesota

November 2, 2021 • By Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee

Watch as Coach discusses post player stop cuts. The goal is for the post to score early in transition. If a defender tries to meet the post early at the foul line, then the post player will make a swim move over the defender's head to get underneath them and post up at the free throw line. The post must give a good target, releasing at the last second and then finish off two feet. It is important to hold off the defender with the hand and hip.
