Watch as Coach J.B. Clarke explains that he no longer teaches his goalies to step to the ball, as it makes them smaller because they are turning their hips. The goalie should have their heels off the ground and be on the balls of their feet. They are still attacking to where the ball is coming from by sinking their hips and taking a hop step, keeping their hips square to the shooter.
