Player-Led Not Coach-Fed Core Values with Chip Kelly – Oakland Raiders

Watch full video with Football +Plus here. • January 17, 2024 • By Oregon Athletic Coaches Association

Watch as Coach Chip Kelly explains that UCLA's core values are player-led not coach-fed. He feels that if your team is player-led you have a better chance of being successful. Coach Kelly involved the players and asked what values were important to them and what they wanted from this experience. He explains that the key words of their core values were love and caring for the brotherhood. The word "Mudita" means when you derive joy from teammates' success, and the "Triangle of Toughness" involves being tough, playing fast, and finishing.

Chip Kelly was previously coaching at UCLA and Ohio State University.
