Watch as Coach explains, and a pitcher demonstrates this turn and torque drill. As the pitcher starts to turn, he starts his hand break. He wants to get the ball out in front of his body so he can see the it. The pitcher needs to stay linear with the left foot, stepping forward and keeping the back hip, back knee, and back shoulder in the direction they want the ball to go. This allows for better inward rotation with the shoulder and gets the pitcher down the line where he wants to be.
