Watch as Coach explains that today's baseball can be a 12-month cycle for pitchers. Coach's throwing schedule involves two months of no throwing and two months of buildup which helps maintain strong arms and supports the pitcher's overall health. For high school pitchers who are multi-sport athletes this rest and build up period already exists.
