Watch as Coach TJ Bruce explains an infielder's fundamentals on fielding slow rollers and choppers. If the ball is on the ground, the infielder should use one hand. As the infielder is approaching a slow roller, he is adjusting his steps based on the ball and that helps create rhythm and allows for adjustments. Coach does not like fielding slow rollers with 2 hands as he feels it slows the infielder down. On chopper, you want to field the ball inside the body with two hands unless it is outside, then the infielder will use one hand.
