Watch as Coach explains that he is a firm believer in the importance of the bat grip. He is a fingers guy and likes to lock up the 2nd knuckles so you can have freedom of movement between the arms and turn instead of rotating through. Most hitters are top hand dominate and the proper grip can keep the bottom hand engaged and prevent the top hand from overpowering and rolling too soon on the swing.
