You CAN Talk to Parents About Playing Time with Deran Coe – Wake County Public School System (NC)

Deran Coe explains that for him, it is possible to discuss playing time with parents. If you immediately put up a wall by saying that playing time will not be discussed, then parents will not feel comfortable coming to you with concerns. It is important that they understand the reasons why their child is not getting the playing time they want. He recommends having the child in the meeting and opening up the lines of communication on what needs to be done to change the situation.
