Effectively Communicating with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Athletes with Chuck Goldstein – Gallaudet University

April 22, 2021 • By ADInsider

Watch as Coach explains that when communicating with deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes, the visual aspect is important and body language is key. Your athletes will focus on your body language and it is important to realize how observant they are. Make sure that your players can see you when communicating with them and encourage them to stay focused on you. After practice take the time to ask your athletes individually if they understand what was being communicated.
