Leslie Slovak, THSADA President, discusses Developing Sportsmanship Beyond the Game. The UIL, Texas High School Coaches Association, and the AD Association have partnered together because of concerns about the negative behavior of fans, student-athletes, and coaches. Leslie presents sportsmanship and game management key statistics that highlight the problems athletic programs are dealing with. She explains the Texas Way, which focuses on: 1. Respect for Others, 2. Control of Self, and 3. Spirit of Competition.
