Don Baker discusses the importance of corporate sponsorship for an athletic department. Many corporate sponsors would prefer to sponsor an entire athletic department and deal with one athletic administrator rather than multiple booster clubs. However, long-term individual team sponsors should be left alone if they have already built rapport with their specific booster club or team. All corporate sponsors should be treated as partners and the relationships must not be one-sided, but a two-way street.
