Watch as Coach Fred Castro explains, and players demonstrate this layup progression drill. The drill starts with players taking two steps to the bucket without dribbling to make a layup. The goal is to eventually have the team finish 50% of their layups this way. Coach will take you through the drill progression with a player working on under-handed layups and layups standing on one leg. The process will then be repeated but with contact (bump) as the player is shooting the layup.
