Watch as Coach TJ Rosene explains, and players demonstrate these 3 finishing drills based on reading the defender. He emphasizes using a teaching methodology of teach - learn - compete. The drill starts with the players learning the stretch finish, the sweep through, and power finishes. After 3 or 4 reps of each finish they will partner up with a defender who will give passive resistance as they execute a finish. The offensive player must decide which type of finish to use based on the defender's position. If the defender starts even, the offensive player will use a stretch finish. If the defender is halfway down the lane the offensive player will use a power finish and if the defender is on the block, the offensive player will use a sweep through finish.
