Coaching Decisions When Playing a 2-3 Zone with Courtney Banghart – Univ. of North Carolina

July 6, 2021 • By Georgia Basketball Coaches Association

Watch as Coach explains that in a 2-3 zone defense you need to make some basic decisions on how you intend to execute. Are you going to guard the ball or not and how far will you come out if you do? If you don't pressure the ball, the guards need to be working to prevent the ball getting into the middle. If you do guard the ball, the off guard should be in a flat or tandem position. On offensive overloads, what are the defensive assignments of your forward and center?

This clip comes from a full-length session that was featured in the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association (GBCA) Virtual Clinic that was held from October 11 - 15, 2020.
