Watch as Coach Lee Hughes explains, and players demonstrate this Y passing drill. The focus of the drill is on passing, receiving, and first touch. The 1st progression is a player opening up to receive, cross their body, and pass. The 2nd progression involves a wall pass with an up back and a pass to the far post or player. The individual skill level can determine one-touch and two-touch but the drill works on the fundamentals of passing, receiving, and dribbling. Different patterns can be added to work on what you might see in a game.
