Watch as Coach Eric Rothwell explains, and players demonstrate this 'Defend the River Rondo' competitive warmup drill. The field is divided into two sides of the river with two teams of eight players per side. The drill starts with a jump ball and each team attempts to get the ball to their side and keep possession. The defending team sends three defenders to the other side trying to get the ball back to their side. If the attacking team makes six passes, they get a point and after every point the defense can add another player. The drill is played three times for three minutes.
