Watch as Coach explains and shows practice clips of this 'zig-zag' footwork drill. The focus of the drill is on footwork, communication, maintaining balance, and proper stick position. The defenders want to keep the head and hips at the same height at all times during the drill. The defender wants to stay low with their stick out to the offensive player's hands and hips poking at the belly button. They then backpedal, keeping the eyes up.
