The Athletic Community Mourns the Passing
of Business Owner, Leader, and Friend,Karan Wade Hutton

Owner, Leader, and Friend Karan Wade Hutton passed away at the age of 67.
Continuing the tradition of a family-owned business, in 1999, Karan Wade Hutton
acquired ownership of Clell Wade Coaches Directory, Inc. As one of the industry's
leaders in informational resources for interscholastic sports, Clell Wade Coaches
Directory, Inc. was named the official directory of the NIAAA (National Interscholastic
Athletic Administrators Association).Following in her father’s footsteps (Clell Wade), Karan Wade Hutton was a
visionary and embraced the fast-paced technological shifts eagerly. Karan launched
the printed publication into a digital version where school athletic information
could be kept up to date all year long and accessible on any device.It was Karan's passion to provide quality resources to the education-based
athletic community. For years Karan envisioned being able to provide Coaches
and Administrators with more than the Coaches Directory. In 2011 she brought
Coaches Insider to reality – a free content library for coaches to learn from other
high-level coaches and top instructors. AD Insider (in partnership with the NIAAA)
was soon developed to provide a free platform for Athletic Administrators with
resources to help with the ever-changing challenges faced in athletic programs
around the country.Karan and her family share a love for the Shriner's Children’s Hospital.
