Watch as Coach Kyle Flood explains and shows practice clips of 'man reach' inside zone targets. Defensive alignments will determine the guard or tackles' assignments. The offensive lineman must determine if the defender is on or off his body. If they are on the body, the lineman must lead with his nose to the defender's middle, striking and moving him and using the inside hand to finish. It's the defenders job to aim their helmet for the target's inside number, then the second step they take must be upfield in order to complete their defensive strategy successfully.
