Zoo vs. Jungle with David Denny – Barbers Hill HS (TX)

October 18, 2021 • By Baseball Coaches Insider

Watch as Coach explains that most baseball players have been raised in "the zoo" but must be taught how to be successful in "the jungle". This means they have been spoon-fed with lessons and have not experienced much failure. When they arrive in high school, they enter the jungle where the focus is on the team and not the individual. The players must learn to handle failure and focus on the now as there is a sense of urgency.
