Watch as Coach Larry Vucan discusses how he uses HHB data to create competition within his team. He explains that you must know the 'why' behind collecting data and how you intend to use it. Coach wants HHB data on how frequently a player is squaring up a pitch, creating back spin, and driving the ball. He uses students who he trains on what an HHB is, and they will break down practice video and tally the results on a google sheet. The data is recorded in the batting cage as well as live on the field and after all the tallies, he has a number for each player that tells him if a hitter can consistently be over 40% on HHBs. The data is always available for the players and helps create a competitive environment.
