Watch as Coach Devan Ahart explains, and outfielders demonstrate fielding balls hit to either side. The outfielder on a ball hit to the right side wants to open up to their deep angle and make sure they cut the ball off at an angle that allows them to make a good throw. Make sure the right foot is behind the ball and sweep, driving through to the cut man. On a ball hit to the glove side the left foot needs to be behind the ball and after fielding the ball, tuck the right foot behind the left foot, pivot, and take one shuffle to hit the cutoff.
