The players should focus on catching the ball in the same place every time. The drill transitions to 2 hands/backhand, with the infielder catching the ball with 2 hands then catching with a backhand. The 4-ball drill is focusing on footwork with the fielder catching with 1 hand, 2 hands, backhand, and 2 hands with a shuffle out on the last ball.
