Watch as Coach explains, and a catcher demonstrates this one-knee posture throws drill. This drill helps the catcher throw from the correct power position inside 90 degrees. It is important to keep the hand outside the elbow to prevent flare and cast outs. The catcher wants to bring his arms up, getting his chest out, pinching the shoulder blades, and then throw. The forward flexion of the trunk helps get the release point out in front to keep the throws low.
